HOUSING4STUDENTS Housing4Students was founded by a group of University of Southern California students who identified a need for a resource which would help students find quality housing near their college of choice. Housing4students.com was created to fill this niche. In addition to property listings, search functionality and Quicktime 360 tours, the interface consists of three consumer facing content management systems allowing landlords to upload and manage their properties, students to manage their roommate profiles and administrators to approve properties associated with their schools. Housing4Students.com was also spun off into GovtHousing, an application which allows housing assistance programs to manage their properties and beneficiaries to search for available housing within their systems. This application was granted an Award of Merit from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials for Best Housing Assistance Software Application in 2005. ROLE IN PROJECT: Visual design - Designed page layout, established and created the style guide and developed the visual branding for the site. Developed brand marketing materials including Powerpoint presentations and trade show booth graphics and banners. Interaction/Information design - Developed flowcharts, interaction models, wireframes, paper prototypes and performed on-site user testing. |   |
